PLANNING

Leave space in a weekend plan

One anchor and a few alternatives can be enough.

Choose one anchor

Decide which activity matters most and confirm its practical details. Leave generous time before and after it. A day with one well-chosen destination often feels fuller than a schedule spent moving between several places with no time to stay.

Keep alternatives nearby

Have a short indoor option and a shorter outdoor option in mind. Treat them as possibilities, not obligations. Consider walking distance, accessibility and the energy of everyone joining you. A plan should help the day, not become a test of endurance.

Finish with a small record

Write down one thing you would repeat and one thing you would change. Keep useful opening-time sources or transport links with the note, because details can change. Then leave the rest of the day alone; not every moment needs to be documented.
